Curious how e-design works? A real before and after!

Saturday, March 1, 2014

Today I'm going to give you a peak into what a real e-design project looks like….Because let's be honest, I know some people wonder how I can possibly help with your space without ever stepping foot in it!

Below are pictures of an actual client who came to me asking for help designing her front room.
The problem:  this was the first room EVERYONE who entered the house saw.  She wanted it to to be beautiful, but also have purpose. She needed a home office, but also needed it to be very family friendly! She had one criteria:  she loved yellows and grays and wanted to follow that color scheme.

Here are a few Before's of her space...

Here is what I visualized for the space..

  1. Ikea bookshelves
  2. Large floor accent vase
  3. Yellow Lacquer Office desk
  4. Chair for desk
  5. artwork
  6. Accent Pillows
  7. Ikea shelf above desk with topiaries
  8. Subtle wallpaper on staircase wall
  9. Vintage inspired mirror above Settee
  10. Trellis patterned Window Treatments
  11. New gray, tufted Settee

And here is the after!

e-design is all about having the plan I provide you with and implementing it on your own.  It doesn't mean that you have to do every piece exactly as I recommend, it means using some of your own personal pieces to create the look you love!  Notice the black and white picture of the couple she used in replace of the artwork on my idea board.  She also found an old desk at a garage sale and saved 100's of dollars by painting it yellow herself!

I give her a A +++!!!!!!
